Kenya Pipeline Company Issues Alert Over Fake Job Scam Circulating Online

The Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) has raised the alarm over a fake job advertisement circulating on social media, warning Kenyans not to fall victim to the latest employment scam targeting desperate job seekers.

The bogus ad claims that KPC is offering 187 job vacancies, ranging from industrial attachments to senior positions such as terminal managers and chief chemists.

It directs applicants to submit their documents via an email address that does not belong to the company, raising serious red flags.

In a firm statement, KPC disowned the advertisement, stressing that it does not charge any fees during its recruitment process and only communicates job openings through official channels, including its verified website and mainstream media.

“We urge the public to be vigilant and verify all job opportunities through our official platforms,” KPC stated.

This scam is part of a growing wave of fraudulent job offers in Kenya that prey on hopeful applicants with fake promises of employment.

Authorities are urging the public to exercise extreme caution and report suspicious adverts.
